Born in Malaysia, and having spent most her childhood in Singapore, Cheryl grew up in a space that was filled with freedom in a safe community where everyone looked out for each other.
Having immigrated to Australia in 1994 she realised that neighbourhood cultures were vastly different to what she had known in Singapore. It was not as easy to socialise, interact and be part of the community because of the way the neighbourhoods were designed. This, teamed with her entrepreneurial spirit ultimately became her driving force to create change.
Inspired by the United Nations “Sustainable Development Goals”, she set about building communities with a difference with the vision of building “PEOPLE Sustainable Goals”.
“Whatever good things we build, end up building us”.
Through Big Impact Group she believes that creating a strong community with a culture of freedom, knowing your neighbours and cultivating long term family and friend connections will allow each and every home owner and tenant to experience a sense of simply “belonging”.
Cheryl stands by her integral belief that is “Not just a house, it’s a home, it’s not just a home ….. it’s where you live”
By engaging with key stakeholders and leading names in Australia’s property development space she is proud of the “new generation” of co-living opportunities as well as the opportunity for others to create long term generational wealth.
